In September 2025, I spent time in Mvanda, Eastern Cameroon, surrounded by some of the most adorable children I have ever met. Their smiles were constant, their laughter infectious — yet behind those smiles lay a daily struggle with extreme poverty.

These children were eager to learn, full of curiosity and hope. But for many families in Mvanda and across rural Cameroon, education has always been out of reach. Something as small as school tuition becomes an impossible burden.

During my visit, I witnessed firsthand how deeply children long for the chance to sit in a classroom. They wanted to hold books, write their names, and take part in lessons that could open doors to a better future.

What struck me most was how little it actually takes to make that dream possible. Just $10 could cover a child’s tuition for an entire year. For less than the cost of a meal in many parts of the world, a child could receive education, dignity, and hope.
